Fuerzas de seguridad y violencia de género

Abstract

Las Fuerzas de Seguridad del Estado, tienen como principal misión, emanada de la Constitución de 1978, velar por el libre ejercicio de los derechos fundamentales y asegurar la seguridad ciudadana. A nadie se le pasa por alto que el principal derecho del que estamos investidos los seres humanos es la vida y la integridad física, por ello, es de vital importancia la labor que desempeñan estos servicios públicos, en la intervención, protección e investigación en materia de violencia contra las mujeres, que es el tema que concierne a este autor. Esta es precisamente la investigación que pretende realizar, como preparación de su tesis doctoral: visibilizar y estudiar la labor de las fuerzas de seguridad desde la promulgación de la ley 1/2004 de Medidas de Protección Integral contra la Violencia de Género, hasta nuestros días, ciñéndome concretamente al Cuerpo de la Guardia Civil, institución a la que pertenece, aunque en el presente trabajo lo haga extensivo a otras fuerzas policiales de nuestro país.
