Diagnóstico de la paridad en los centros educativos : la distancia de paridad (DP)

Abstract

Esta ponencia presenta un método original apoyado en el enfoque “Doing Gender” (Crawford, 2006). Esta perspectiva nos remite a la construcción de género que debe realizarse en el plano sociocultural de una institución educativa para desarrollar la igualdad; en ello, la paridad de género es una dimensión reconocida como importante. Formulamos un procedimiento para la medida de la paridad y un indicador del mismo al que hemos denominado “Distancia de Paridad” (Dp), expresión cuantitativa del recorrido necesario en una organización hasta alcanzar la paridad. Asimismo, se proponen indicadores complementarios para medir la paridad en centros educativos no universitarios, aunque estos son aplicables en cualquier otra organización. Este método permite escalar “puntuaciones de paridad” y está provisto de coeficientes estadísticos y gráficas para la representación de la paridad en mapas sobre el clima de género. La herramienta Teón XXI, que provee a las organizaciones de la posibilidad de realizar un diagnóstico online y diseñar planes de igualdad, incorpora esta metodología diagnóstica. Después de probarlo, sobre una muestra de unos 400 centros andaluces de enseñanza no universitaria, discutimos su posible aplicación en las organizaciones universitarias.
