The goal of this work is to create a non-invasive glucose sensor. Different technologies that are currently being developed have been studied in order to achieve this, and after further investigation in some of them, a prototype has been built using NIR spectroscopy and ultrasound technologies. However, during the design process of the sensor the patient has also been taken into account, focusing mainly on comfort, portability and price of the final product. The results of the experiments have been satisfactory and possible improvements have been made towards the future development of a sensor with these technologies.
