Abstract

La presente comunicación tiene como objetivo vislumbrar y/o explicitar las posibilidades y alternativas educativas de los “consumibles” culturales más comunes entre los usuarios de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC), a saber, los videojuegos. “En la red buscamos comunicarnos con otros, relacionarnos y divertirnos, jugar!” es lo que dicen los alumnos; esa es su meta, por lo que la Pedagogía y la Didáctica deben ofrecer una reflexión y no mirar hacia otro lado ignorando la eminente omnipresencia de los videojuegos, sean éstos en redes sociales o no, en la vida diaria de los niños y adolescentes de nuestro sistema educativo. Para cumplir con el objetivo propuesto la pregunta planteada es la siguiente: ¿qué posibilidades educativas, bajo el prisma del Modelo 1 a 1, se pueden hallar en estos usos sociales de la red? Particularmente, se describen los videojuegos en redes sociales ofreciendo casos particulares de videojuegos en estas redes tales como “Farmville” (la granja colaborativa), “ZooWorld” (el zoo en equipo), “Empires and Allies” (imperios y aliados” o “Cityville” (la gran manzana).
