Abstract

The aim of these pages is to scope into the nature of one of the main information and communication device in Internet: the web site. Our path follows a number of steps. Firstly, it justifies the need for study of web sites. Secondly, it offers a definition that explains the web site as an information and/or communication structure with some specific elements. The following step is describing what is offer in web sites. Finally, we will face “need” concept, which we consider useful to understand actions that people do in sites.
