Lingüística infantil y origen del lenguaje

Abstract

Apart fro m parallelisms and analogies, the beginning of the child's language may be used to gain some insight into the origins of human language. To this respect, I select three children's access paths, with a communicative character: iterative sequences, onomatopoeias based on imitative perfection, and 'germinal' stage. A process similar to that represented by the child's germinal stage offers the most appropriate support for economical and systematic human oral communication. Within this germinal stage, three specific formulae are found, which are the foundations of the meaning relationship, ie the association of for m plus meaning to make up a sign: Easy onomatopoeias, ejaculations or phonic appeals and suggestions of an oppositional character.
