Nuevas traducciones de Galdós. Adaptaciones de los Episodios Nacionales

Abstract

The film Sangre de Mayo, by José Luis Garci and the play Puerta del Sol: un Episodio Nacional, by Juan Carlos Pérez de la Fuente, are adaptations of the novels of Benito Pérez Galdós (Trafalgar, La corte de Carlos IV, El 19 de marzo y el 2 de mayo). These cinematics and theatrical works demonstrates how to render narrative language in the language of film. Garci´s and Pérez de la Fuente´s adaptations offers a new way of discovering the process of moving from a literary idea to a screenplay.
