Las Exposiciones Universales constituyen una de las acciones más eficaces de Relaciones Públicas de los Estados. Ocasiones únicas para definir y mostrar la propia identidad, aparecen como plataformas comunicativas idóneas para transmitir sistemas de valores y planteamientos sociopolíticos y económicos, o recientemente, los principios de desarrollo y sostenibilidad imprescindibles hoy en el planeta Tierra. Analizamos la teoría general de las Exposiciones y en especial lo que supuso a efectos de Relaciones Públicas la Exposición Universal de Sevilla 1992, que inició junto a las Olimpiadas de Barcelona la gran eclosión y el despegue comunicativo en notoriedad, popularidad e imagen pública para España.
The Universal Exhibitions constitute one of the most effective actions of nation’s public relations. The best occasions to define and show the own identity, appear as communicative suitable platforms to transmit systems of values and socio-political, economic approaches or recently the indispensable beginning of development and sustainability in the planet Earth. We analyze the general theory of the Exhibitions and especially what supposed to effects of public relations the Universal Exhibition of Seville 1992, which initiated close to the Olympiads of Barcelona the great appearance and the communicative takeoff in reputation, popularity and public image for Spain.
