This study aims to investigate intrasentential code-switching in Llanito by analyzing the structural relationship between Spanish determiners and English nouns within Determiner Phrases (DPs), based on pieces of spontaneous speech taken from television programs and a street interview. The analysis of this study will focus on the prevalence of masculine Spanish determiners with English nouns, regardless of semantic gender mismatches, and the systematic concordance between the language of the determiner and that of the finite verb, in line with the Matrix Language Frame (MLF) model. Data will be analyzed and classified using established grammatical frameworks, and results are expected to highlight the dominance of masculine determiners in bilingual constructions and the predictive importance of the MLF model.
