Abstract

This proposal arises from the challenge to the imposition of artistic discourse as a revalorizing element in a work of art. In a context where discourses are fundamentally enunciated with performative intentions, this research highlights the possibility of creating for the sake of creating as a mechanism of distraction from an asphyxiating reality. This should not be confused with an evasion of responsability on the part of the artist, but the posibility of having nothing to say, from their own individuality, in a world with too much noise. Based on this reflection, inspiration is found in the understanding of music as an art of time, and composers such as Schoenberg or Cage emerge as main references. From this point on, this research initiates a guided work method with the white square established as a main support and develops an artistic experimentation process based on systematization and randomization. In this regard, it is essential to consider the theoretical and artistic precedents related to abstract expressionism, informalism, concretism or suprematism. In short, this research puts the process at the center, removes the complements and presents it with no pretensions: art is the process, the path is experience and experimentation is the guiding thread of the artistic proposal.
