Abstract

The Final Degree Project that is included in the following pages, a research is carried out focused on the analysis of the Property Tax (hereinafter, IBI), highlighted as one of the most relevant taxes in Spain at the national level and, in quantitative terms, the most important at the local level. In the first section, the theoretical framework of this tax at the national level is addressed, providing a historical context that facilitates the understanding of its development and application in the Spanish sphere. Subsequently, its content is presented, addressing in detail its operation and the regulatory field, highlighting its essential elements. Subsequently, a compilation of data related to its application in recent years is carried out with the aim of drawing conclusions about its development over time and its importance at the local level. Finally, the IBI rebate for the use of solar energy in the province of the Comuni will be analyzed.
