This study starts from the observation of a massive movement of isotherms already started and projected with global warming. Based on three case studies on a South-North axis, this Master's thesis explores the climatic characteristics of the "rigour of the South" and how it determines architectural typologies and models of social organisation. Based on the study of the M'Hamid oasis (Morocco), it highlights six principles for an "oasis ecology" adapted to the rigour of the South, including the integration of human and ecological systems and climate-adapted construction. The following two case studies - Esquivel (Spain) and Bastide-Niel (France) - are analysed in this light. Finally, future scenarios and adaptation opportunities are proposed for the three case studies, inspired by the oasis ecology, underlining the need for urban and social planning that takes into account scenarios of strong climate change.
