Abstract

Se definen las características generales de la secuencia achelense y sus industrias en el ámbito fluvial de las terrazas del Bajo Guadalquivir, así como sus aspectos culturales (tecnología, tipología, localización física y características de las ocupaciones) y cronología; proponiendo una secuencia integral del paleolítico inferior del Guadalquivir desde sus comienzos y siguiendo su desarrollo, así como su evolución final que conllevara a la aparición de un Paleolítico medio característico de las depresiones fluviales, para incorporar al ámbito de la Península ibérica y, en general, de la secuencia occidental.
