Explorando el dopaje desde una perspectiva fisiológica en el culturismo y otros deportes.

Abstract

En la actualidad, el abuso de las sustancias dopantes dentro del culturismo y otros deportes es muy notable pero la población general tiene poco conocimiento de las ventajas y desventajas de su uso para la mejora del rendimiento. En el presente trabajo de fin de grado se ha realizado una revisión bibliográfica con la finalidad de establecer una guía acerca de las sustancias dopantes más utilizadas en el culturismo y otros deportes. Para ello, se ha realizado una síntesis de todas las sustancias clasificadas por la Agencia Mundial Antidopaje (AMA) como “Lista de Prohibidos” y posteriormente se han seleccionado aquellas más relevantes en la actualidad. La información seleccionada responde a los efectos fisiológicos que tienen las sustancias en el ámbito clínico, la trasferencia de su abuso en el ámbito deportivo, sus formas de uso, así como posibles combinaciones y los efectos adversos que originan en el tiempo.

Currently, the abuse of doping substances in bodybuilding and other sports is very notable but the general population has little knowledge of the advantages and disadvantages of their use for performance enhancement. In this final degree thesis, a literature review has been carried out with the aim of establishing a guide to the most used doping substances in bodybuilding and other sports. To this end, a synthesis has been made of all the substances classified by the World Antidoping Agency (WADA) as "List of Prohibited Substances" and then those that currently contain the most information have been selected. The information selected responds to the physiological effects that the substances have in the clinical field, the transfer of their abuse in the sports field, their forms of use, as well as possible combinations and the adverse effects that they cause over time.
