Teoría de la turbulencia en fluidos

Abstract

En este trabajo se deduce la ecuación de Navier-Stokes para la dinámica de fluidos. Tras imponer condiciones de incompresibilidad, se realiza un análisis matemático exacto de la misma. Se obtiene la ecuación de balance energético, las simetrías que cumple y se realiza un análisis de Fourier para conocer sus propiedades de escala. Se muestra que la ecuación puede presentar sensibilidad a condiciones iniciales lo que justifica un tratamiento estadístico del problema. Finalmente, se estudia el límite de velocidades altas (número de Reynolds grande) en que domina el término convectivo no lineal, y se introducen los resultados más importantes de la teoría más básica de la turbulencia, conocida como teoría de Kolmogorov K41.
