Abstract

La hiposalivación es la disminución de la secreción salival debido a numerosos factores etiológicos, puede modificar los componentes microbianos, dando lugar a una microflora más acidogénica. El microbioma oral son los diferentes microorganismos con sus elementos genéticos y las interacciones que establecen con el medio ambiente en el que se encuentran en la cavidad oral. Sin embargo, no se ha evaluado cual es la evidencia científica que existe al respecto en la evaluación global de la hiposalivación y el microbioma oral. En el presente trabajo se analiza la base de datos Pubmed con el fin de determinar la cantidad de artículos relacionados con el microbioma oral en hiposalivación, teniendo en cuenta criterios de inclusión y exclusión, que fueran humanos mayores de 18 años publicados en los últimos 5 años. Se obtuvieron un total de 77 artículos relacionados con el tema, de los cuales 4 se excluyeron antes del cribado y 64 en el cribado tras aplicar los criterios de inclusión, en total se incluyeron 9 artículos. La hiposalivación es una condición común en pacientes con patologías, inducida por medicamentos o radiación o personas de edad avanzada y mujeres. Los géneros bacterianos Streptococcus, Veillonella y Prevotella son los más prevalentes y su presencia se asocia con la causa subyacente.
