Introduction: Incisor-Molar Hypomineralization (MIH) is an alteration of systemic origin that is characterized by a qualitative defect in the development of enamel and affects, at least one of the first four permanent molars may or may not be accompanied by permanent incisors. Clinically it manifests with the appearance of well-delimited and asymmetrical white-opaque-yellow-brown spots that mainly affect the cuspid and incisal third of the dental crown. Objectives: The objective of this study is to make a bibliographic review on the effectiveness of the resin infiltration technique to mask the lesions produced by MIH, and to study the incidence of MIH in students of the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Seville (US). Material and method: A bibliographic search was performed in PubMed and Web of Science, with the keywords "white spot lesion" OR "molar incisor hypomineralization" AND "resin infiltration" OR "treatment OR therapy", and to know the incidence of MIH in students of Grade of the Faculty of Dentistry of the US has been analyzed a sample of 150 students between 18 and 39 years, 100 women and 50 men. Conclusions: The treatment of lesions caused by MIH using the resin infiltration technique is effective in masking the opacities of the enamel, although in order to achieve these effects it is necessary to make modifications of the original technique, and decrease tooth hypersensitivity. The incidence of MIH in grade students was 18%.
