Authors: Sanz Santos, Irene del Carmen;

Odontofobia y ansiedad dental

Abstract

This literature review attempts to clarify the possible differences between the concepts of anxiety, fear and dental phobia. It shows the relationship that exists between presenting high levels of anxiety and dental phobia with the state of oral health that these patients present. The aim is to make known the connection between the dental discipline and dental phobia, in addition to explaining the prevalence and incidence of this problem in society. Finally, to compile a list of the elements and components that generate the most fear among patients when they go to the dentist.
