The aim of this project is to develop a model of a Regenerative Rankine Cycle for PWR (Pressurized Water Reactor) nuclear power plants using the commercial software MATLAB. Subsequently, a parametric sensitivity analysis of a generic PWR nuclear power plant is assessed, highlighting the versatility of the developed tool. To set a solid background, it is important to describe some theoretical concepts related to nuclear physics, steam generation, and related technologies. Finally, results from the tool developed in this work are compared against those obtained from Thermoflex in order to validate the model.
