Los egresados discapacitados visuales formados en Fisioterapia: su integración laboral y empleabilidad

Abstract

Introducción. En los últimos años se observa un gran número de egresa dos discapacitados en la Universidad; de ellos, el 8.8% son de ficientes visuales, y una gran mayoría estos eligen Fisioterapia para estudiar. Éstos necesitan un mercado laboral acorde a sus cualidades y una ley de protección laboral que les permita una integración adecuada y dé respuesta a sus necesidades. Objetivo. Conocer las leyes que den amparo a los futuros fisioterapeu tas en materia laboral, los tipos de empleo a los que pueden acceder, las adaptaciones que puedan necesitar en las tareas cotidianas y las habilidades que el fisioterapeuta deficiente vi sual pueda mostrar con sus capacidades visuales. Método. El trabajo presenta un diseño descriptivo, observacional y transversal de corte cualitativo, basado en el III Estudio sobre el grado de inclusión del sistema universitario español respecto a la realidad de la discapacidad, presentado por la Fundación Universia y realizado por varias universidades españolas, con la colaboración del Servicio de Atención de la Comunidad Univer sitaria y otras organizaciones de discapacitados. Conclusiones. Actualmente, hay muchos estudiantes con discapacidad visual que es tán cursando estudios superiores y luchan todos los días con múltiples barreras encontradas, por ser un problema de accesibilidad emergente derivado de la incorporación de nuevos recursos tecnológicos. Sus pers pectivas de trabajo tienen un gran apoyo de diferentes instituciones, es pecialmente de la ONCE (en adelante, Organización Nacional de Ciegos de España), de modo que su empleo es óptimo para su empleabilidad y el trabajo se lleva a cabo con adaptaciones adecuadas

Introduction. In recent years a large number of disabled graduates at university, 9% of them are visually impaired, and a large number of these choose careers in Health Sciences. These students need a labor market according to their qualities, and Labour Protection Act, allowing them proper integration and to respond to their needs. Objective. To know the laws that provide protection to future physical therapists in the workplace, the types of employment to which they have access, any adjustments needed in everyday tasks and skills that poor physical therapist visual can be displayed with the losses of their visual capabilities. Method Work present a descriptive and cross-sectional qualitative design based on the III Study on the degree of inclusion of the Spanish university system to the reality of disability, presented by the ´Universia Foundation´ and conducted by several Spanish universities with the collaboration of the University Community Care and disability organizations most relevant Spanish. Conclusions. Are currently many students with visual disabilities who are pursuing higher education and struggling every day with multiple barriers encountered, being a pop accessibility problems arising from the incorporation inclusion of new technological resources. Their job prospects have great support from different institutions, especially ONCE, so that their employment is optimal to their employability and work is carried out with suitable adaptations employment.
