Niveles de actividad física en la población escolar

Abstract

El presente Trabajo Fin de Grado (TFG) surge de la necesidad de conocer los niveles de actividad física en la población escolar. La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) recomienda a todos los escolares realizar 60 minutos de actividad física, ejecutando actividades que favorezcan el sistema óseo y muscular. Sin embargo, la mayoría de los escolares no cumplen estas recomendaciones, lo que podría acarrear efectos perjudiciales en la salud del individuo. Asimismo, el alumnado pasa mucho tiempo realizando actividades sedentarias, lo que está provocando que no realice actividad física en su tiempo de ocio. Aunque también se ven inmersos ciertos factores sociales, familiares, económicos y ambientales que repercuten directamente en su práctica. Por todo esto, se pretende conocer los niveles de actividad física de un centro de Educación Primaria de la provincia de Sevilla, haciendo uso de la perspectiva cuantitativa mediante un cuestionario de investigación. En los resultados del presente cuestionario, se ha observado que el alumnado tiene unos niveles de actividad física medio-alto, realizando en su mayoría actividades físico-deportivas 3-4 veces por semana, y superando con creces los 60 minutos de actividad física recomendados en las guías.
