Abstract

La reparación de las hernias de la pared abdominal (AWH de sus siglas en inglés Abdominal Wall Hernia) es una de las cirugías más realizada en el mundo. Actualmente, existen pocos estudios que evalúen como afecta la cirugía a los niveles de fuerza muscular del tronco (FMT) post operatorios. Por ello, el objetivo de este trabajo fue valorar como influye la cirugía en los niveles de FMT en pacientes con hernias ventrales (VH, de sus siglas en inglés Ventral Hernia). Como objetivo secundario se comprobó posibles correlaciones entre las variables antropométricas de la muestra y los cambios en los niveles pre y post de FMT. Método: 20 sujetos con VH se les realizó una valoración de la FIM y el RFD pre y un mes post intervención. Resultados: se obtuvieron diferencias significativas en los niveles post operatorios de RFD en 90º (p = 0,003) y 45º (p = 0,006). Se obtuvieron correlaciones moderadas entre el diámetro de la hernia y el RFD a 90º (r = 0,504; p = 0,024). Conclusión: La cirugía de las AWH propicia a cambios en el RFD post operatorios tanto en 90º como en 45º. A su vez, existen correlaciones moderadas entre el diámetro de la hernia y el RFD a 90º.
