La productividad del trabajo en el sector industrial de Andalucía 1993-2001

Abstract

El trabajo que planteamos pretende abordar el análisis de la evolución de la productividad del trabajo en el sector industrial en Andalucía. Dados los específicos resultados del mercado de trabajo en Andalucía, consideramos que el análisis de la estructura del empleo y en particular, el peso del sector industrial merece un análisis más detallado. Por ello, a partir del planteamiento de la caracterización del sector industrial en términos de empleo y producción respecto al total nacional, se realiza un cáalculo aproximativo de la productividad aparente del trabajo en España y Andalucía. En la segunda parte del trabajo, a partir de la metodología de Nordhaus (1972) aplicada por Maté (1995) y Alonso et al (1996), se plantea un análisis comparativo que explique el diferente comportamiento de la productividad del trabajo en España y Andalucía a partir de la descomposición de su evolución en diferentes efectos. Efectos debidos a cambios en la estructura intersectorial del empleo (efecto composición intersectorial) y los cambios derivados de las variaciones en las productividades sectoriales (efecto tasas sectoriales). El trabajo termina con la exposición de las conclusiones más relevantes derivadas de la aplicación del modelo de descomposición de las diferencias de evolución.
