Abstract

In this work we introduce black hole physics through the predictions of General Relativity. Moreover, we expose some results of the Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration about the radio source emitted by the core of the galaxy M87. Thus, we start introducing General Relativity and Einstein´s field equations, giving some properties deduced by them. After this, we show the main solutions of black holes: Schwarzschild, Reissner-Nordström and Kerr. We study the causal structure of these solutions and some important geometrical properties. Finally, we make a review about the results obtained from the image of galaxy M87
