Floración en Prunus subgen. Cerasus

Abstract

La floración del cerezo (Prunus subgen. Cerasus, familia Rosaceae) es muy importante tanto para la agricultura como a nivel cultural en muchos países. En este trabajo se analizarán los cambios a nivel morfológico que conducen a la floración, tanto la organogénesis como los diferentes estadios del desarrollo de los brotes florales que son fundamentales para que se culmine la floración en los cerezos, así como los factores abióticos que la influencian como la temperatura, la vernalización y el fotoperiodo y los factores endógenos de la misma planta. Debido a que la temperatura y las heladas son dos de los elementos que más repercuten en la floración de este subgénero, se han recopilado datos desde 1948 hasta 2020 de una zona de cultivo de cerezos tradicional española como es el Valle del Jerte (Cáceres, España) ya que el cambio climático puede alterar ambos parámetros citados anteriormente y afectar a la floración. Como resultado de ello, no se aprecian con claridad las alteraciones producidas por el cambio climático en la temperatura y las heladas en el periodo de tiempo de los datos analizados, pero es muy probable que influya notablemente en estos parámetros en un futuro, adelantando como consecuencia la fecha de floración en las especies de este subgénero.
