Abstract

Anxiety is a problem that is becoming more recurrent every day in our lives, mainly caused by external agents that cause us a state of continued stress or anguish, leading to anxiety. In traditional Chinese medicine, which existed prior to Western medicine, there is a much more comprehensive view of anxiety, in which the body is understood as a general system, in which one element can affect another, as added and essential. , treats the problem from its root, preventing it from generalizing towards the symptom, reaching its origin. The main therapies treated in this study are: acupuncture and electroacupuncture, herbal medicine and reflexology; providing an exhaustive investigation of its benefits and different tests carried out testing them, it also tries to provide a valid and effective alternative to anxiety, which allows to eliminate the existing limitation towards western treatments, based on benzodiazepines.
