This work analyses the characterisation of fragments of different meteorites with the aim of identifying the crystalline phases by means of X-ray diffraction. Once the X-ray diffraction spectra have been obtained, the X-Pert High Score programme is used to identify the possible candidates for crystalline phases in the studied sample. Subsequently, the Rietveld Method through the software Fullprof is applied, which is a crystal structure refinement technique based on a least-squares fit between the observed diffraction profile and the theoretical model that depends on global, structural and profile parameters. In addition, an elemental analysis of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) is carried out in order to identify the samples chemical composition.
