A great deal of situations which are based on interactions among individuals who must make decisionsin order to obtain their maximum profit take place on a daily basis. The Game Theory enables these agents to opt for a strategy depending on those selected by the others. This mathematical tool stands out for having being implemented in a wide range of different fields, from economic or social science ones, to political and, of course, military ones. For a deeper awareness of the scope of the project, the thesis introduces the reader to the main concepts of the Game Theory, as well as its origins and applications, thrusting into the limelight the belligerent domain. Thus, the current warfare between Russia and Ukraine cannot be overlooked, whose precedents will be explained, leading to the analysis of a hypothetical armed conflict between the NATO and Russia. This confrontation will be addressed from two different approaches: The Nash Equilibrium and Stackelberg Games.
