Abstract

El presente trabajo se basa en la realización de una revisión sistemática sobre el tratamiento con resinas infiltrantes de baja viscosidad en caries incipientes no cavitadas tras ortodoncia fija, una nueva vertiente de tratamiento basada en el uso de resinas infiltrantes de baja viscosidad en este tipo de patologías. Con este trabajo, pretendemos revisar la literatura actual, la etiología de esta patología, así como la prevención de la misma, mediante el empleo de la base de datos Pubmed, Scopous y Cochrane; a partir de la cual realizamos las distintas estrategias de búsqueda con el fin de obtener los artículos más actuales y que más se ajustan a nuestros objetivos. Gracias a esta revisión sistemática hemos llegado al conocimiento de dicha terapia en profundidad y hemos conseguido establecer hasta qué punto puede llegar a ser efectiva en este tipo de lesiones, cómo esta patología aparece tras el tratamiento de ortodoncia fija y los métodos preventivos.

This work is based on a systematic review of ICON treatment in non-cavitated incipient caries after fixed orthodontics, a new treatment approach based on the use of low-viscosity infiltrating resins in this type of pathology. With this work, we aim to review the current literature, the aetiology of this pathology, as well as its prevention, by using the Pubmed, Scopus and Cochrane database; from which we carried out the different search strategies in order to obtain the most current articles that best meet our objectives. Thanks to this systematic review, we have gained in-depth knowledge of this therapy and have managed to establish to what extent it can be effective in this type of lesion, how this pathology appears after fixed orthodontic treatment and the preventive methods.
