Abstract

Universities have shown a growing interest in evaluating the environmental impact of their activity. One of the aspects being evaluated is the intercity mobility associated with university activity. The current situation of pandemic caused by Covid 19 is causing a change in the presence of university studies. The aim of this communication is to evaluate in environmental terms what is being the change in the pattern of student mobility. In this way the interuniversity mobility will be evaluated in the pandemic situation and compared with the previous situation. For the development of the work, a previously published mobility survey is used and the impact in terms of kg of CO2 is obtained according to the kilometers travelled and the means of transport used. The results show a decrease in the environmental impact due to the reduction of student mobility.
