La tesis Culturas pop y periodismo de rock presenta un análisis pormenorizado de las características que articulan las culturas pop y ofrece una teoría general de tales formas culturales dentro del panorama de la lógica de los discursos postmodernos. Además de ello se detiene con cierto pormenor en uno de los canales de mediación de las músicas pop, el periodismo, con especial atención a la corriente underground de la crítica de rock, estableciendo diferencias entre lo que son los géneros del periodismo cultural dedicado a las músicas pop y lo que denominamos periodismo rock o escritura rock.
The thesis Pop Cultures and Rock Journalism presents a detailed analysis of the characteristics that articulate pop cultures and offers a general theory of this cultural forms within the panorama of the logic of postmodern discourses. In addition to this, it treats in some detail at one of the mediation channels of pop music, journalism, with special attention to the underground current of rock criticism, establishing differences between what are the genres of cultural journalism dedicated to pop music and what we call rock journalism or rock writing.
