El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo el estudio de la sostenibilidad financiera, así como el uso de deuda por parte del Ayuntamiento de Jerez de la Frontera en los ejercicios 2002-2020. Para ello se hará uso de indicadores básicos de la contabilidad pública, así como el análisis de otros datos ofrecidos por la administración central. De esta forma, se representará el pasado y el presente de la corporación local respecto a deuda y déficit, determinando además su influencia en el futuro de la estabilidad financiera del ente y su efecto generador de nueva deuda. Además, se atenderá al contexto que explica como el Ayuntamiento de Jerez ha llegado a ser el tercer ayuntamiento más endeudado de todo el país. Ello implica adicionalmente el estudio de las principales partidas presupuestarias influyentes en la formación del déficit.
This paper aims to study financial sustainability, as well as the use of debt by the Jerez de la Frontera Local Government in the 2002-2020 financial years. For this, the basic indicators of public accounting can be used, as well as the analysis of other data offered by the central administration. In this way, it represents the past and present of the local corporation with respect to debt and deficit, also determining its influence on the future of the entity's financial stability and its effect generating new debt. In addition, attending to the context that explains how the Jerez City Council has reached the third most indebted city council in the entire country. This additionally implies the study of the main budget items influencing the deficit formation.
