Abstract

Conseguir un cerclaje arterial pulmonar adecuadamente ajustado es un reto difícil en parte porque el procedimiento requiere una anestesia general. Esto causa un cierto grado de desestabilización cardiovascular, alternando los parámetros de referencia que guían dicho procedimiento. No obstante, un cerclaje efectivo es factible si dicha desestabilización inducida por la anestesia está neutralizada, empleando la dopamina y noradrenalina. Esto se demuestra en el presente estudio.

Achieving optimal band tightness in pulmonary artery banding is challenging, partly because the procedure requires general anaesthesia. This causes a degree of cardiovascular destabilization, disturbing the reference parameters that guide banding. However, effective banding is achievable if this anaesthetically-induced cardiovascular depression is neutralized, using dopamine and noradrenaline. This is demonstrated in the present study.
