Abstract

Estrategia de búsqueda utilizada: “Survival rate” AND “lithium disilicate”; “Lithium disilicate” AND (“implant” OR “single crown” OR “fixed partial denture”); “Survival rate” AND “monolithic zirconia”; “Monolithic zirconia” AND (“implant” OR “single crown” OR “fixed partial denture”); “Lithium disilicate” AND “monolithic zirconia”.

Objective: Review the existing literature of the last ten years to establish a comparative table on the survival of the monolithic crowns of lithium zirconium disilicate, according to the area where it is placed (either anterior or posterior), and according to whether it is placed on a tooth pillar or implant Materials and Methods: A bibliographic search was carried out in the Pubmed database according to the keywords we have selected based on the MesH terms and according to some selection criteria. Searchs trategy: “Survival rate” AND “lithium disilicate”; “Lithium disilicate” AND ("implant" OR "single crown" OR “fixed partial denture”)”; “Survival rate” AND “monolithic zirconia”; “Monolithic zirconia” AND ("implant" OR "single crown" OR “fixed partial denture”); “Lithium disilicate” AND “monolithic zirconia”. Results: A total of 424 articles were obtained according to the search strategies formulated, after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, we chose 24 articles that became part of this literatura review. Conclusions: Crowns made with monolithic lithium disilicate or monolithic zircona have satisfactory results in the short and long term, but they are not without problems, since the complication that occur most frequently are fractures, mainly in the posterior region.
