Abstract

El presente trabajo ha estudiado y analizado varias fuentes de informacion de medicamentos. Primeramente se analiza la publicidad de farmacos en 4 revistas medicas no especializadas durante el año 1.989. La asociacion amoxicilina + acido clavulanico fue el principio activo mas anunciado; el 60% corresponde a novedades terapeuticas y los aspectos toxicologicos y posologicos estan, en general bien recogidos. En una segunda fase, se valoro los conocimientos sobre farmacos de los visitadores medicos; mediante la realizacion de una encuesta anonima a 75 visitadores medicos de la provincia de sevilla. Se pone de manifiesto la mayor profesionalizacion de este colectivo. Prefieren el nombre de "tecnicos en informacion sanitaria". La valoracion supero ampliamente el aprobado; aunque es necesario potenciar su formacion farmacologica. Por ultimo, se ha analizado la informacion sobre farmacos aparecida en la prensa diaria. Se eligio para ello, el diario abc de sevilla correspondiente al año 1.991. La patologia mas frecuentemente abordada fue los procesos neoplasicos; y son las vacunas los medicamentos mas citados. La valoracion global de los articulos alcanza la calificacion de "aceptable/excelente" en un 60%.
