Se podrían escribir infinidad de trabajos sobre la luz. La luz natural es el material que desvela el carácter de una obra arquitectónica. La manera en la que actúe en un interior es condición intrínseca en la percepción del mismo. Y cuando el arquitecto lo comprende, advierte que es éste el tema central de la arquitectura. Resulta paradójico pues, que todas las reflexiones que existan en torno a la luz natural sean de interés subjetivo y no permitan considerar este elemento como un factor más en el diseño de un nuevo proyecto. El evidente olvido por parte de la práctica arquitectónica es lo que motiva a este trabajo en la búsqueda de unas consideraciones teóricas que, lejos de conllevar cálculos exhaustivos, permitan establecer unas claves objetivas y transferibles sobre el comportamiento de la luz natural.

Countless works could be written on light. Natural light is the material that reveals the character of an architectural work. The way it acts in an interior is an intrinsic condition in the perception of it. Once the architect understands this, he understood that this is the central theme of architecture. Therefore, it seems paradoxical that all the reflections that exist around natural light treat it as a subjective topic and do not allow this element to be considered as a factor in the design of a new project. The evident oblivion by architectural practice is what motivates this workin the search for theoretical considerations that, far from entailing exhaustive calculations, allow to establish aset of objective and transferable keys to about the behaviour of natural light.
