Drogas de abuso de especial relevancia en la actualidad

Abstract

El consumo de drogas de abuso siempre ha estado presente, pero es importante destacar que, en los últimos años, han sido muchas las sustancias consumidas habitualmente por los más jóvenes sin concienciación alguna, y como consecuencia, se ha aumentado el número de urgencias atendidas en ámbito hospitalario, ya sea por sobredosis o reacción adversa. En esta revisión bibliográfica, se centra en tres sustancias ilegales de abuso (heroína, krokodil y burundanga) que actualmente presentan gran repercusión, y que, en mayor o menor medida, provocan cierta intoxicación en sus consumidores. Se ha proporcionado información de cómo actúan dichas sustancias en el organismo, la prevalencia, los factores condicionantes y la prevención de consumo, además de exponer para cada una de las intoxicaciones producidas, el tratamiento convencional, con el objetivo de evitar graves secuelas o incluso una intoxicación letal. Con todo esto y a través de los efectos, las consecuencias y adicción que producen el consumo de estas drogas, se pretende concienciar a la población con la finalidad de disminuir el número de consumidores.
