Abstract

La formación del profesorado en la competencia digital implica lograr una singular capacitación en el conocimiento, empleo, transferencia y valoración de los recursos digitales para propiciar a los estudiantes un conocimiento y adaptación a las necesidades formativas de la diversidad de aprendizajes. El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar los resultados de la investigación realizada para formar al profesorado de la Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil, Ecuador, en el conocimiento, dominio y proyección de la competencia digital para el propio desarrollo profesional y la mejora de los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje, preferentemente de los estudiantes de primer año de universidad. Se ha utilizado una metodología mixta, a través del diseño y aplicación de un cuestionario a 30 docentes y la realización de dos grupos de discusión. Los datos emergidos se han analizado, en complementariedad y valoración rigurosa, de manera que se concluye con el cumplimiento del objetivo general y, singularmente, algunos específicos que evidencian el interés del profesorado por comprender e integrar la competencia digital en la enseñanza, así como la importancia y significado de mejorar los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje y generar una cultura de desarrollo profesional, todo ello, a través del análisis riguroso de las prácticas y el empleo de los minivídeos para observar en diferido actuaciones en las aulas. Subrayamos el sentido innovador, que el del desempeño docente y la generación de una . empleo didáctico de las TIC tiene para la mejora cultura innovadora en la universidad.

Teachers’ training in digital competencies implies achieving special qualifications in the knowledge, use, transfer and evaluation of the digital resources to provide students with some specific knowledge and adaptation techniques to respond the formative needs of the diversity of learning. The objective of the present work is to present results gathered, during the research carried during teachers’ training at the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil, Ecuador, on the digital competence knowledge, command and projection to help in their own professional development and in the improvement of teaching-learning processes, especially for first-year university students. The methodology used was mixed, as we used the design and application of a questionnaire presented to 30 teachers and set up two discussion groups. The emerged data were analyzed using complementarity and rigorous assessment methods, to conclude with the fulfilment of the general objective marked and of some more specific ones too; these evidenced the interest of the teaching staff in understanding and integrating digital competences, as well as the importance and meaning of improving the teaching-learning processes to generate a culture of professional development among teachers, all this after a rigorous analysis of practices and of mini videos used to observe deferred actions within the class. We underline on teaching performance levels achieved and on the . the most innovative significance of these ICT didactics generation of a pioneer culture in universities.
