Finansal piyasalar arasındaki oynaklık yayılımı

Abstract

In this study, it was investigated the stock market spillover from the stock markets of United States, Canada, China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Britain, Switzerland and Greece to the stock markets of the fragile eight countries (Brazil, India, Indonesia, South Africa, Turkey, Hungary, Poland and Chile), using weekly data for the period of 20062015. Exponential generalized autoregressive conditional heteroscedasticity model was used for the purpose of analyzing asymmetric volatility effects. The findings indicate the presence of leverage effect in the American, the Asian and the European stock markets and the fragile eights stock markets except Indonesia. In addition, according to the findings, the volatility spillover occurs from the stock markets of developed countries to the stock markets of the fragile eights.
