Eskişehir çevresi Roma Dönemi pişmiş toprak lahitler ve analizi

Abstract

Eskişehir prehistorik dönemden günümüze kadar önemli bir yerleşim merkezi olmuştur. Değişik kültür ve geleneklerin ard arda görüldüğü Eskişehir, hem tarihsel, hem de arkeolojik buluntular açısından incelenmesi gereken bir ildir. Bu çalışmada, Eskişehir ili ve çevresinde yaşamış bulunan toplumların tarihsel ve kültürel geçmişlerinin yanısıra, ölü gömme gelenekleri, yazılı tarih öncesi dönemden Roma dönemi sonuna kadar geçen, zaman dilimini kapsıyacak şekilde ele alınmıştır. Roma dönemi daha detaylı bir şekilde incelenerek, o döneme ait pişmiş toprak lahitlerin, kullanım, pişirim, yapım, ve süsleme teknikleri, fiziksel ve kimyasal bakımdan araştırılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları hem fiziksel, hem de kimyasal açıdan değerlenirilerek, kullanılan seramik hammadde ve teknikleri tesbit edilmiş, bunun sonucunda Eskişehir çevresinde yapılmış Roma dönemi pişmiş toprak lahitleri konusunda küçük de olsa bir katkıda bulunulmuştur.
