Abstract

Bu çalışma, Ahmet Adnan Saygun'un "Aksak Tartılar üzerine on etüd" op.38'de bestecinin, geleneksel Türk Halk müziği ritmlerini ve ezgilerini çok sesli evrensel müziğe taşıdığı yaratıcı ve yenilikçi yapıyı inceler, eserin Cumhuriyet Dönemindeki müzik tartışmaları ile arasındaki etkileşimi, ulusal ve evrensel özellikleri bir arada bulunduran yapısını irdeleyerek, Türk müziğinin temel özelliklerinden biri olan "Aksak Tartılar"ın bir analizini sunmayı amaçlar. Etüdlerin Türk piyanistleri tarafından yeteri kadar tanınmaması ve seslendirilmemesi, buna karşın eserin çalıcıya getireceği teknik ve müzikal getirileri bu konunun seçiminde önemli bir etken olmuştur.
