Sert porselen bünyelerde mukavemet arttırıcı önlemler

Abstract

Porselen kaolen, feldspat ve kuvars'dan oluşan en karmaşık seramik malzemelerden biridir. Porselen mukavemetini kontrol eden genel faktörler; fazların genleşme katsayıları, fazların elastik özellikleri, farklı fazların hacim kesri, kristal fazların tane boyutu ve faz dönüşümleridir. Bu çalışmada porselen bünyeye kuvars yerine alümina ilave edilerek mukavemette meydana gelen değişim incelenmiştir. Porselen bünyedeki mevcut fazların bulunması amacıyla X-Işınları Difraktometresi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Değişik fazların kalitatif miktarları ise pik şiddetlerinin yaklaşık alanlarının bulunmasıyla hesaplanmıştır. 1380 °C'de sinterlenen numunelerin mikroyapıları Taramalı Elektron Mikroskobu ile incelenmiştir. Veriler kuvars yerine bünyeye ilave edilen alüminalin mukavemeti %70 oranında arttırdığını göstermiştir.
