Abstract

Sitrik asit, malik asit ve glutamik asit içerisinde pH 2 ve pH 6 da 10 M-10 M derişim aralığında kalayın korozyon davranışları incelenmiştir. Korozyon potansiyelleri sitrik asit, malik asit derişimleri arttıkça hem pH 2 hem de pH 6 da negatif değere kaydığı ve korozyon hızının arttığı bulunmuştur. Glutamik asit içerisinde pH 6 da korozyon potansiyellerinin, derişimin artması ile anodik değerlere kayması yüzey filminin oluşumu ile açıklanmıştır. Glutamik asit derişimi ile korozyon hızları arasında pH 2 de düzenli bir değişim gözlenmemiştir. Kalayın bu asit çözeltilerindeki korozyon hızı sitrik asit ] malik asit ] glutamik asit sırasını izlediği bulunmuştur. Asit çözeltilerine, nitrat veya nitrit ilavesi kalayın korozyon hızını artırmaktadır. Ancak nitratın ve nitritin korozyon artırma etkisi pH 2 de daha belirgindir. Ayrıca nitritin korozyon artırma etkisinin nitrattan daha fazla olduğu gözlenmiştir.
