Bilecik-Deresakarı yöresi doğal zeolitinin karakterizasyonu

Abstract

Dünyadaki doğal zeolit yatakları açısından önemli bir konuma sahip olan Türkiye, MTA verilerine göre 50 milyar ton doğal zeolit rezervine sahip bulunmaktadır. Önemli doğal zeolit yöreleri olarak Bigadiç ve Gördes yöreleri bilinmektedir. Bu çalışmada yöreden alınan alt, orta, üst tabaka numunelerinin X-ışınları analizleri yapılarak birim hücre parametreleri elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca numunelerin taramalı elektron mikroskop analizleri (SEM) ve diferansiyel termal analizleri (DTA) yapılmıştır. Adsorpsiyon izotermleri çizilerek Langmuir özgül yüzey alanları ve ortalama gözenek yan çapları bulunmuştur. Bu sonuçlara göre Bilecik-Deresakan zeolitinin klinoptilolit olduğu ve büyük boyutlu organik moleküller için moleküler elek davranışı göstereceği ve özgül yüzey alanlarının büyüklüğü nedeniyle iyi bir adsorbent olarak sanayi kuruluşlarında kullanılabileceği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
