Lichens of the thrace region of Turkey

Abstract

This paper gives the distribution of lichens in the Thrace region determined in this study and in nine previous studies as well. The genus Placidiopsis (Verrucariaceae) is recorded for the first time in Turkey and thirty-three of the species are recorded for the first time for the region. With the completion of this study, the number of known lichen species in the region reaches 201.
