Abstract

Tübitak Ulusal Gözlemevi (TUG), TÜBİTAK bünyesinde yer alan, Enstitü statüsünde bir AR-GE kolaylık birimidir. Ana görevi, Üniversitelerimizde yürütülen gözleme dayalı bilimsel araştırmalar için teleskop desteği sağlamaktadır. Bugün, bu destek gözlemevindeki dört teleskop ile verilmektedir. Gözlemsel destek için gerekli donanımların çalışır olmasını sağlamak, bakım ve onarımları yapmak, geliştirmek ve güncel kalmasını sağlamak ana görevin gerekliliklerindendir. Ulusal ve uluslararası araştırma merkezleri ile işbirliği yapan TUG, öğrencilere ve halka yönelik gözlemsel astronomide eğitim programları ve etkinlikler düzenlemek gibi önemli görevler de üstlenmiştir. Konferanslar, seminerler, Astronomi ve gözlem enlikleri, eğitim programları, ışık kirliliği konusunda çalışmalar yapmakta, ulusal düzeyde toplantılar düzenlemekte, bilgi ve donanım desteği vermektedir. TUG' un kısıtlı kadrosu, yoğun idari, teknik ve sosyal ileri arasında bu konulara da özellikle zaman ayırmaktadır. TüBiTAK National Observatory is an institute of the Scientific and Technical Research Counsil of Turkey. Its main mission is to provide telescope time for observational projects from he universities. Today, this support is given with four telescopes. TUG is also charged to run and maintain all the facilities at the observatory. TUG, in cooperation with national and international institutes and research centers, undertakes to organize edFA0150 ucational and observational activities for the students, the public and the amateurs. The other duities of TUG are to arrange conferences, seminars and star parties and to organize various meetings or workshops, together with technical equipments and knowhow.
