De ciudadanos a prosumidores nuevas representaciones y consumo

Abstract

La Comunicación cambió, y lo hizo debido a la incursión de nuevos medios y, sobre todo, de nuevos actores, denominados por algunos como prosumidores que son receptores, creadores y resignificadores de la comunicación, todo al mismo tiempo. Los nuevos sujetos actúan y conviven en el ciberespacio; seleccionan sus propios medios y desarrollan sus propios contenidos. Por ello, los paradigmas tradicionales, propios de una sociedad de masas, quedaron atrás. Hoy, la comunicación se concibe no desde el modelo tradicional de Harold Laswell o del modelo matemático de Shannon y Weaver, sino desde múltiples modelos, cuyo común denominador radica en establecer nuevas interacciones sociales entre los actores que intervienen en el acto comunicativo.
