The complexity of this topic requires attention on both Transport planning and policymaking. A multidisciplinary approach involving complementary disciplines implicating urban development, history, Transport planning and the cognitive process of decision making. Most of this research focuses on looking into how Transit-Oriented Development can be used to help cities grow in a way that helps people. Across the world, transit-oriented development (TOD) has become a good way to make transportation and land use work together in both old and new cities. Urban transportation sustainability is a more narrowly defined form of transportation sustainability, or is transportation sustainability a more broad form of transportation sustainability? Due to the fact that scientists can't agree on what makes a transportation system truly sustainable, it's important to compile a complete list of all of the definitions and characteristics that exist. Based on the research and case studies, the last phase of the study will try to construct a toolbox of application and the greatest possible development scenario for this model in developing nations. This is so that future transportation growth may be facilitated by this concept. The development of this notion was spurred on by a series of unsuccessful plans.
