Abstract

In this paper we shortly review the status of the new quarkonium like states. After a general overview, we will focus on the experimental situation of the X(3872), of the 1−− states, and on the Z(4430)+, the first charged charmonium like states. A description of the most recent results will be presented for each state among with its possible theoretical interpretations.
