Abstract

Il volumetto, scelta dei testi e cura di Simone Casini e introduzione di Marco Lodoli, comprende una piccola selezione di cinque "racconti romani" di Moravia (rispetto agli oltre centotrenta delle due raccolte dei "Racconti romani" del 1953 e dei "Nuovi racconti romani" del 1959). I cinque racconti sono "Il pupo", "Le sue giornate", "La rivincita di Tarzan", "La tavola di pero" e "Motorizzarsi". Come scrive Lodoli nell'introduzione, "i cinque racconti di Moravia raccolti in questo libro sono semplicemente perfetti. ... Questo libro è un catalogo perfetto dei sentimenti romani: l'amore, l'ira, la vanità, la nostalgia, il rischio a corto raggio, il senso del tempo che va". Il curatore presenta nelle due bandelle i "racconti romani" nel loro complesso e le ragioni della scelta.
